So, what is child dedication all about?

In Scripture, we see families dedicating their children to the Lord—Hannah dedicated Samuel, and Joseph and Mary dedicated Jesus. Paul reminded Timothy that “from childhood” he had known the sacred Scriptures. Jesus also showed how precious children are to Him, saying, “Let the little children come to Me… for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Child dedication is a way to acknowledge God’s sovereignty over your child and over you as parents. It’s a public commitment to raise your child in God’s ways, asking for His grace and wisdom to guide you.
